In pictures: Robots wow Japanese


The Japanese have been indulging their passion for the world of robotics at an exhibition in Yokohama. On display at the Robodex 2002 event are 72 new personal-use robots, constructed by 30 different Japanese companies and universities.

Robot guard dog T7S Type 2 developed by Sanyo

Japanese electronics giant Sony'sSDR-4X robots

Sony's prototype of the robot Q.taro, which stands for Quasi-stable, Travelling and Action Robot.
