About World News America

Launched on 1 October 2007, BBC World News America delivers nightly in-depth reports on the major international and US news of the day.

Special reports from BBC correspondents go beyond the headlines to provide context and analysis on the national and international events that shape our increasingly complex world. And from the BBC's Washington DC bureau, anchor Matt Frei interviews newsmakers of the day and leads roundtable discussions featuring expert opinion from commentators and major players.

One of the BBC's most highly experienced and respected correspondents, Matt Frei has reported on major events from news hotspots around the globe. Prior to taking up the post of anchor for BBC World News America, Matt Frei had been the BBC's Washington Correspondent since 2003 reporting on major events including Hurricane Katrina and the 2004 Presidential election.

Katty Kay, the program's Washington Correspondent, brings her wealth of experience as a Washington based reporter to cover US news and politics.
