2342 It's been a grim week in the Middle East. The Lebanese Prime Minister accused Israel of opening up the gates of hell in his country. It's even prompted talk of a Third World War. Today, the UN Secretary-General condemned both sides: Israel for using "excessive force"; Hezbollah for holding an entire nation, Lebanon, hostage. Caught in the middle, as usual, are innocent civilians. Almost 240 are now dead, many of them children, thousands more injured, and many maimed for life. So can anyone claim the moral high ground? And where will it end? We turned to historian Simon Schama and the human rights campaigner Vivienne Westwood for their Take Of The Week.
