Gary Barker's brush with politics...

Gary Barker

Gary Barker takes a satirical look at the political news and personalities in his cartoon gallery...

Gary has been the Politics Show's editorial cartoonist for the best part of two years, creating work for both the website and TV broadcast.

He casts his sardonic, but hopefully amusing eye, over those he describes as the most deserving in these times of political homogeneity.

He considers it to be the duty of every editorial cartoonist (worth their salt) to speak up for both the politically disenfranchised and the just plain frustrated.

Gary describes his style as always being direct, acerbic, accessible and always aimed to raise a wry smile.

His work is now being nationally recognised and the Politics Show is lucky to have his exclusive online services.

Watch out in the programme too - we often have his work in animated form... one example was his collaboration with Jon Culshaw as they brought a little colour to the holiday exploits of Gordon Brown - it hit YouTube too...
