AFGHANISTAN

Tony Blair has been in Afghanistan talking to British troops and President Karzai.

The prime minister said the southern province of Helmand is where "the future of the world's security in the early 21st century is going to be played out".

If that's the case don't we need more than the 4,500 troops there as some in the army have demanded?

And can the army fight a war and reconstruct the country? Mark Urban will assess the situation.

BOBBY KENNEDY

Film-maker Shane O'Sullivan has spent the last three years investigating the assassination of Bobby Kennedy in 1968.

He has uncovered new evidence that at least three CIA agents were in the hotel the night he died. Tonight we show the findings and ask could CIA agents have had something to do with the murder of RFK?

LITVINENKO

The illness of the former Russian security agent Alexander Litvinenko is being treated as a suspected "deliberate poisoning" by Scotland Yard.

Mr Litvinenko is a critic of Vladimir Putin's regime but Kremlin officials today described accusations they were involved as "sheer nonsense".

If he was poisoned who might have wanted him dead and why? Peter Marshall is investigating.
