Gerry Adams

President Sinn Fein

In a HardTalk programme first broadcast on Monday1st October 2007, Stephen Sackur talks to Gerry Adams, President of Sinn Fein.

Earlier this year Northern Ireland witnessed a remarkable act of political reconciliation.

Unionist Ian Paisley and Republican Gerry Adams, sworn enemies for decades, sat at the same table and announced their readiness to work together in a devolved Government.

Did that moment signal the end of the sectarian struggle over Northern Ireland's future?
