Nigeria's president, Olusegun Obasanjo, established the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission four years ago to root out the country's endemic corruption.

The commission has been praised for making a difference, but as the April elections draw near, critics are accusing the president of using the EFCC to discredit his opponents.
