New Israeli raid in southern Lebanon

Israeli aircraft have raided suspected guerrilla positions in southern Lebanon.

Reports say that the aircraft fired about six rockets in an area Iqlim al-Toufah known as a Hezbollah stronghold.

In a separate incident, a Lebanese man was reportedly wounded by artillery fire in a clash between Hezbollah and the pro-Israeli militia, the South Lebanon Army SLA.

However, Lebanese police say the man injured was a Lebanese officer who was shot when an SLA sniper fired on an army checkpoint.
