Palestinian men seized with bombs

Map showing Nablus Israeli forces have arrested two Palestinians carrying explosive belts at a checkpoint between the West Bank and Israel, the Israeli army said.

The men, aged 20 and 21, were carrying bags containing two 7kg belts and a knife through the Beit Iba checkpoint north-east of the town of Nablus.

Israeli Border Guard engineers examined the belts before destroying them. No injuries were reported.

It is unclear to which militant group the two men belong.

Beit Iba is one of several checkpoints around the city of Nablus.
