Car bomb in Baghdad kills three

Map of Baghdad At least three people were killed and 13 wounded when a car bomb exploded outside a police station in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, officials said.

Witnesses said both police and civilians were among the casualties in the mainly Shia district of Kadhimiya.

Earlier, a senior official in the Iraqi Oil Ministry and his son were shot dead in the west of the city, police said.

Rahim Ali Sudani, a director-general at the ministry, was ambushed in his car. His driver was wounded.
