Saudi forces kill bomb suspects

Police around a car used in the attack Saudi security forces have killed 10 suspected militants during a series of raids and bombings over the past two days in Riyadh, Saudi officials say.

The interior ministry says one militant was shot dead on Tuesday and nine others died on Wednesday.

Wednesday's violence included apparent attempts by militants to bomb government buildings in the capital.

Saudi security forces have been waging a campaign against Islamist militants since May 2003.

Violence erupted again this week:

The attacks come two weeks after an audio tape said to have been recorded by al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden, himself a Saudi, called on supporters to rise up against Saudi leaders.
