Bilston Glen protest site is a camp south of Edinburgh. The protesters have concerns over the environmental impact of a proposed bypass. The camp has been there for six years.

"This is one of the older tree-houses waiting to be dismantled. The structures are lashed to the trees using the inner tubes from bicycle tyres and ropes as this allows the tree to move."

"Some of the constructions are basic. Just a floor, a few bent branches and a canvas on the top."

"Other shelters are of more sturdy wooden construction, and some of them also have small stoves inside."
