Katy Grierson

Katy Grierson devised Taffy and Treacle. "Why do we have to think of some rare or exotic animal to be a mascot - what is wrong with cats? We are a nation of pet lovers after all."

Bill Weber

David Ayres sent in Charlie Chav, the aerosol can. "It has a nice symmetry with the 2012 logo which looks like a piece of street graffiti. He sports a Union Jack waistcoat and Burberry cap."

Miwako Ohara

Miwako Ohara got this idea from London's Olympic logo. "The 2 and 0 reminded me of a horse's head and a lion's mane, which led me to think about the unicorn and lion on the coat of arms."
