In pictures: Turkey plane crash

A passenger plane operated by budget airline Atlasjet has crashed in south-western Turkey. All 50 passengers and seven crew members perished, according to the airline.

Relatives of the victims also travelled to the crash site, where some wept and pleaded to cross security cordons.

Soldiers and rescue workers retrieved the victims' remains and placed them in body bags. Ambulances drove them down a dirt track to a mortuary.

Local officials said the aircraft had broken apart into two sections which landed in different locations. The airline said the cause of the crash was not clear.
