Landless Indian peasants have arrived in Delhi after a march that has lasted nearly four weeks and covered 325km (200 miles), to demand greater rights to land and water.

About 25,000 people, including some of India's poorest, took part. They say they have been left behind by India's economic boom.

Protesters say they have been forced off the land to make way for government-backed industrial projects.

Many have slept at the side of the road during the rally. Some said they would be given their rights or die in Delhi.

The marchers represent different sections of Indian society, including low-caste tenant farmers, landless indigenous people, and Buddhist monks.
