Millions of people have been displaced by flooding after heavier-than-usual monsoon rains battered South Asia. Large areas of Bangladesh are among those under water.

Large swathes of India have also been affected, including the financial capital, Mumbai.

The Indian states of Bihar, Assam and Uttar Pradesh are among the worst-hit areas.

All available boats have been pressed into service as people flee the rising waters. Across South Asia, scores of people have died.

In Dhaka, capital of Bangladesh, rickshaws have had to battle through the floodwaters.

Southern Nepal has also suffered, with paddy fields submerged beneath flood waters in Rautahat.

But for some children, the floodwaters have provided a new place to play.
