The costume worn by Helen Slater in 1984's Supergirl is one of more than 400 film and TV outfits that will go up for auction next week at Bonhams auction house in central London.

Also up for grabs is this costume worn by actor Mel Gibson in his role as Scottish hero William Wallace in 1995 Oscar-winner Braveheart. The broadsword is included in the price.

One of the highlights of the sale is the Obi-Wan Kenobi cloak worn by Sir Alec Guinness in Star Wars - tipped to fetch as much as £60,000 at next week's auction.

Welsh actor Richard Burton sported this Roman tunic when he played Mark Anthony opposite wife-to-be Elizabeth Taylor in the 1963 epic Cleopatra.

Diana Rigg's fur coat from James Bond film On Her Majesty's Secret Service and this medieval doublet and hood from Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves also feature.

The auction of more than 400 outfits created by Angels the Costumiers, to be held in London on 6 March, is believed to be Europe's largest sale of film and TV costumes.
