Audio slideshow: Remembering grandad

A Remembrance Day service in Crete - where more than 3,500 British and Commonwealth servicemen died in fierce fighting in 1941 - was particularly poignant for the BBC's Europe correspondent Dominic Hughes.

He travelled to the Greek island with his father, Peter, who was laying a wreath on behalf of the Royal Marine Association. Dominic's grandfather fought in the Battle of Crete - and was taken prisoner there.

Here, Peter Hughes tells the story to his son.
