Water calculator

There are many variables involved in calculating water usage and no two houses will be exactly alike. Click here for the figures we have used in our water calculator and the sources for them.

We have not included cooking and drinking water in the calculator as it is not recommended that people try to limit this usage. However, a ballpark figure is five litres per person, per day.

Please note that the calculator uses UK sizes and standards for appliances - other countries may vary.
