Audio slideshow: Art's recuperative power

The arts already play a valuable role in improving the wellbeing and quality of life of hospital patients, visitors and staff.

But a new England-wide forum - meeting for the first time on Wednesday 29 April - will try to boost awareness and improve understanding.

Take a tour of the colourful artworks on show in three hospitals - Addenbrooke's in Cambridge, and Royal Brompton and Central Middlesex in London.
