Bloodstained coat found on beach

Police in Jersey are investigating the discovery of a bloodstained jacket which was found on a beach.

The white Bench sports jacket was recovered from the beach in St Clement in the early hours of Saturday, States Police said.

Officers said it had "a quantity of blood stains on it" and they believed it was left close to the Dicq slipway on Friday night or Saturday morning.

They have appealed for the owner of the jacket to contact them.
