Teenager challenges gay sex law
The legal age of consent for homosexual sex is being challenged by under the European Counvention on Human Rights.
It is illegal for gay couples to have sex until they are 18 in both Jersey and Guernsey although for heterosexuals the age of consent is 16.
If Jersey teenager Luke Small wins his case both islands would come under pressure to change their laws.
Local Advocate Mark Dunster believes that the current legal position is probably indefensible.
