Anti-viral drugs arrive on island

The Isle of Man has received its first stock of anti-viral drugs to help to treat swine flu.

The island has seven confirmed cases and is still trying to contain the virus, rather than moving to a "treatment phase", like the UK.

The Manx government said all the patients so far appear to have picked up the virus abroad.

The first batch of anti-viral drug Zanamivir has been delivered, with further stocks expected.

The Department of Health and Social Security (DHSS) is holding a table-top exercise on Thursday to help prepare for a swine flu pandemic.
