Manx-made film at outdoor event

Bill Nighy and Alicia Silverstone

A film made on the Isle of Man is one of three to be shown at the island's annual outdoor screenings.

Stormbreaker, which was filmed on the island in 2005, Dirty Dancing and Shaun of the Dead will be shown as part of Under The Stars.

The screenings will be on 29 and 30 August in the grounds of The Nunnery.

Department of Trade and Industry minister David Cretney said he thought it appropriate to have a Manx-made film in the line-up.

The Under the Stars event is organised as part of the Arts Council Film Festival weekend.

Stormbreaker's stars include Bill Nighy, Ewan McGregor and Alicia Silverstone.
