Isle's driving licences recalled

Car - from gov.im Six hundred driving licence holders in the Isle of Man are being ordered to return them after a technical problem occurred during printing.

The Department of Transport is recalling all licences, including provisional ones, that were issued between 6 and 19 July.

A printing hitch led to some information not being transferred onto the cards.

License holders affected will receive a letter asking them to take action.

The Department of Transport said drivers were being asked to return their documents in stamped addressed envelopes which would be sent to them.

It stressed the incorrectly issued licences would not affect the holder's right to drive or their insurance liability.
