People found littering Guernsey could face on-the-spot fines under new laws planned for the Channel Island in the autumn.
The States approved a range of new fixed fines in 2006 but the Home Department has only just received the drafted laws.
It is hoped that they will go to the States for approval in September.
Under the drafted laws, anyone found leaving litter in Guernsey could face an on-the-spot fine of up to £70.
