More swine flu cases in Bailiwick

The number of confirmed swine flu cases in the Bailiwick of Guernsey has risen to four, health officials have said.

Guernsey's Director of Public Health, Dr Stephen Bridgman, said there were two new confirmed cases in Guernsey and one in Sark.

At least one of the patients, who are being treated at home and recovering, contracted the virus abroad, he said.

Two further suspected cases in Guernsey are also being investigated, according to health officials.

People in the Bailiwick have been recommended to follow good hygiene practices to reduce the risk of the virus spreading.
