Nominations sought for election

Nominations for people wishing to stand in Alderney's general election have opened with five seats within the government available.

States Members hold office for four years.

However, in alternate years an "Ordinary" election takes place at which five of the sitting members may offer themselves for re-election.

Anyone wishing to stand has until 1600 GMT on 25 November to put their name forward for the election on 6 December.
