Pirated copies of the Italian anti-mafia film Gomorra have gone on sale in Naples, heartland of the Camorra mob at the centre of its storyline.
Police have seized copies of the film, days before the official DVD release.
The Italian media say the Camorra itself may be behind the pirate copies - it is thought to be one of its regular sources of revenue.
The film is based on the book by local author Roberto Saviano which earned him numerous death threats.
Gomorra, which has sold more than 2m copies worldwide, is a factual account of the Camorra's criminal activities.
The film was released this year and the official DVD of the film is due to go on sale in Italy on 3 December.
But street vendors and even some kiosks have been selling the counterfeit disks, Italian media report.
Saviano was given 24-hour police protection following threats to his life.
