Climbers near peak of Mont Blanc

Two Guernsey climbers are on the final leg of their attempt to reach the summit of Mont Blanc in the Alps.

Charlotte Wilson and Sean Petralia, who both work for Northern Trust, took the challenge of the climb to raise money for the charity Sense International.

The pair were unaffected by an avalanche which struck on a different part of the mountain over the weekend.

Angela White, the mother of Charlotte's fiance, Geoffrey, said they were all in good spirits.
