GRAPO re-emerges

Police in Spain are investigating claims of a resumption of violence by an extreme left-wing group, GRAPO, following the explosion of two bombs in separate parts of the capital, Madrid.

The blasts, at two tax offices, occurred early in the morning.

GRAPO is believed to have killed at least sixty people since it first appeared in the early 1970s -- but was widely thought to be defunct.

GRAPO is an acronym for First of October Anti-fascist Resistance Group.
