Medecins Sans Frontieres accepts Nobel prize

The humanitarian organisation, Medecins Sans Frontieres, has been presented with the 1999 Nobel Peace Prize at a ceremony in Oslo.

A French doctor, Marie-Eve Raguenaud, collected a gold medal and a diploma on behalf of the organisation.

In addition, it's receiving more than nine-hundred-thousand dollars which it says it will spend on fighting disease.

During the ceremony, one of Medecin Sans Frontieres' delegates called for Russia to halt its military campaign in Chechnya.
