In a further bid to rid Paris of one of its major scourges - dog mess on the pavements - the city's Mayor, Jean Tiberi, has announced new measures to combat the problem.
A shock campaign with posters and a short film to be shown in the capital's cinemas, will be aimed at dog owners in the hope that they'll stop their pets fouling the streets.
Hundreds of people are treated in hospital each year after skidding on dog excrement.
The campaign, which highlights the problem for disabled people, shows a blind man spearing dog excrement with his white cane. A fleet of one hundred cleaners on motorbikes already patrols the streets.
