Comic writer Frank Muir dies

One of Britain's most enduring comic personalities, the writer and raconteur, Frank Muir, has died suddenly at the age of seventy-seven.

Frank Muir was probably best known to World Service audiences for his appearances on the long running radio quiz games, My Word and My Music.

But with his co-writer Denis Norden, he was responsible for vintage comedies on BBC Radio, including Take It From Here.
