Albanian village shelled by Serbs

Albanian village shelled by Serbs

International monitors in Albania say a village on the border with Kosovo has been shelled by Serb forces from inside Kosovo.

A spokesman for the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the OSCE, said some forty shells landed near a school in the village of Vlahen.

So far there are no reports of injuries.

This is the latest in a series of incidents on the border -- yesterday Yugoslav troops were reported to have briefly occupied a village in northern Albania.
