'President' stopped at Kremlin gates
The man was stopped at the Kremlin gates
Police have arrested a man who tried to enter the Kremlin by passing himself off as the Russian president.
The 38-year-old unemployed man was stopped in his Lada sedan at the Kremlin's northern Borovitsky gate.
Officials said he identified himself as President Vladimir Putin.
He has been ordered to undergo psychological tests.
The incident occured at the same place a man tried to assassinate the Soviet leader, Leonid Brezhnev, in the 1970s.
In 1998 a Russian nationalist blew up his car outside the Kremlin's Spassky gates, injuring three guards.
The man was later charged with terrorism.
