Gerard plays down Milan talk
Valencia midfielder Gerard Lopez has attempted to play down any talk of a potential transfer to Italian giants AC Milan.
Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has been quoted as saying that the 21-year-old will be in the red and white colours by the start of the 2002 season.
"I've not signed anything with anyone," said the Spanish international.
"I don't know anything and to be honest I don't want to know. Now is not the time to talk about this.
"In football everything changes. Who knows what's going to happen tomorrow? I've got a contract with Valencia for two more seasons and I'm happy there."
Gerard's Valencia team mate Francisco Farinos was understood to have signed for Inter Milan after the club announced the deal on their web page.
