She grew up on the studio lots in Hollywood and made her first screen appearance when a three-year-old, in a film with her mother.
Her greatest role has undoubtedly been in Cabaret, a musical transferred to the big screen. Her star waned in the late 1980s and 1990s and she is now better known as a performer, rather than as an actress.
