Lennon's birthday tribute
Former Beatle John Lennon's 60th birthday will be marked with the re-release of a track he was working on the night he was killed.
Walking on Thin Ice will be included on a re-issued version of his final album Double Fantasy.
His first post-Beatles solo album, John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band will also be reissued on 9 October to mark the event.
Lennon was shot four times by gunman Mark Chapman outside his New York City apartment on 8 December 1980.
He and his wife Yoko Ono were returning from a late-night recording session during which time they had been working on Walking on Thin Ice.
Only hours before the shooting, Chapman - who had come to New York from Hawaii - was photographed with the singer outside the same building as Lennon signed a copy of his album Double Fantasy for him.
Chapman, 45, is now serving a 20-year-to-life sentence for the killing.
He will have his first parole hearing next month.
