Britney becomes BBC agony aunt

Britney Spears
Teenage pop star Britney Spears is to become an agony aunt for BBC Online.

The singer - who is at number five in the UK singles chart with Lucky - will hand out advice to fans on the So... teenagers' website.

She will be dispensing her advice for two weeks from 8 September.

Spears said: "This is a great way of showing that pop stars are real people too.

"Most of those logging on are probably going through the same experiences most teens go through, and it is great to share with them how I dealt with these situations."

Fans can e-mail her through the So site until 8 September asking for advice on relationships, family problems, school worries or guidance on the future.

A different problem will be aired on the site each day.
