Eminem 'wins 3D horror film role'

Eminem

Rap star Eminem is to appear in a 3D hip-hop horror movie, according to trade paper Screen International.

The performer will also produce Shady Talez, a horror anthology described as a cross between Creep Show and vintage TV programme The Twilight Zone.

If it comes to fruition, the film will be Eminem's first big-screen appearance since his role in 2002 release 8 Mile.

Announced last year, Shady Talez will feature three stories offering a hip-hop spin to classic horror films.

The film is being produced by DJ Classicz, a division of Davis Entertainment - the US company behind the Garfield and Aliens vs Predator movies.

The project will also incorporate a four-issue Shady Talez comic book series, due out in 2010.

Eminem, 37, won the best male prize at Thursday's MTV Europe Music Awards but was not in Berlin to collect his prize.

The rapper - real name Marshall Bruce Mathers III - topped charts on both sides of the Atlantic earlier this year with his latest album Relapse.
