Festival in giant Thriller chorus

Dizzee Rascal at Glastonbury

Rapper Dizzee Rascal has led the crowd at the Glastonbury music festival in a tribute to Michael Jackson.

"We lost a legend this week," he said. "So I think we should do a little something to remember all the great music he brought us."

Tens of thousands of fans joined in with a chorus of Thriller, and Rascal played snippets of other hits including Billie Jean and Another Part Of Me.

The star appeared on the main Pyramid Stage on the event's second day.

The news of Jackson's death in Los Angeles spread as fans were gathering for Britain's biggest music festival on Thursday.

Pharrell Williams, The Streets, Lily Allen and Gabriella Cilmi are among the other artists who have paid tribute.

Bruce Springsteen is headlining the event in Somerset on Saturday.
