Peas take top spots on US chart

Black Eyed Peas

Hip-hop group Black Eyed Peas have taken the top two spots on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart this week.

I Gotta Feeling was downloaded 249,000 times in its first week and entered the chart at number two, as well as topping the Hot Digital Songs chart.

It comes as the group celebrated their 11th week at number one with their hit single Boom Boom Pow.

The comeback song has been a success on both sides of the Atlantic, scoring number ones in seven countries.

The tracks come from Black Eyed Peas fifth studio album, The END, which is also currently topping the US Billboard 200 album chart.

The rest of the Hot 100 top five was made up of Keri Hilson's Knock You Down, featuring Kanye West and Ne-Yo, at number three and Pitbull's I Know You Want Me at four.

Lady GaGa's LoveGame climbed six places to five.
