First UK number one for DJ Guetta

French DJ David Guetta has scored his first number one UK single with club hit When Love Takes Over, featuring vocals from US singer Kelly Rowland.

His track climbed from seventh in last week's chart to knock newcomer Pixie Lott's Mama Do off the top spot.

Said It All by Take That, meanwhile, climbed from 48 to number nine.

Kasabian stayed top of the album chart with West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum while George Harrison's greatest hits collection Let It Roll went in at four.

Guetta's collaboration with former Destiny Child singer Rowland is the first in a series of collaborations that will appear on his new album One Love, due out in August.

Guetta, 41, has also worked with will.i.am, of the Black Eyed Peas, British singer Estelle and rapper Kid Cudi.

His previous biggest hit in the UK was Love Don't Let Me Go (Walking Away) which reached number three in August 2006.

Other new entries on the album chart included Lines, Vines and Trying Times, by Jonas Brothers, at number nine, and Notes and Rhymes by singing brothers the Proclaimers, at number 30.
