The first edition of music compilation Now That's What I Call Music has been re-released to celebrate the album's 25th birthday.
The double album includes 11 number one singles, such as Culture Club's Karma Chameleon and UB40's Red Red Wine.
When it was released on 10 December 1983, the Flying Pickets' Only You was at number one in the UK singles chart.
The first television ad for the album was voiced by comic Tracey Ullman. It sold around 900,000 copies.
ANNIVERSARY HIGHLIGHTS
To date, the biggest selling edition was 1999's Now 44 which sold over two million copies. It featured Britney Spears' debut Baby One More Time.
The series, which has reached Now 70, is the biggest selling compilation series with 75 million sales in the UK and Ireland alone.
It has also spawned a variety of spin-offs like Now Dance and Now Christmas and worldwide editions for countries including the US, Japan and Australia.
