Actor Cromwell in cycle accident

James Cromwell

Actor James Cromwell has been in hospital after a cycling accident but is expected to make a full recovery, his publicist has said.

The American actor, who starred in the Babe movies, suffered a broken collar bone and a partially deflated lung, his publicist Nancy Seltze said.

The statement added that Cromwell is a serious cyclist and was training when the accident happened.

Cromwell played Prince Phillip in the 2006 film The Queen.

More recently, he played President George Bush Sr in the Oliver Stone film, W.

He also appeared in US television hit series 24 and Six Feet Under.

He was expected to be released from the hospital on Monday.
