Second son for X Files' Anderson

Gillian Anderson

X Files actress Gillian Anderson has given birth to a baby boy, her agent has confirmed.

Baby Felix was born in a London hospital on 15 October and weighed 6lb 15oz, Anderson's Los Angeles agent Kelly Bush said.

The 40-year-old already has a one-year-old son called Oscar with her partner Mark Griffiths.

Anderson also has a 13-year-old daughter from her first marriage to X Files art director Clyde Klotz.

Anagram

Speaking at the London premiere of her latest film, How To Lose Friends And Alienate People, last month, the actress was tight-lipped about the name she has chosen for her third child.

"I have chosen something but I don't think it's crazy," she said.

Felix, meanwhile, is an anagram of X File.

The actress also admitted to craving nectarines during her pregnancy.

Anderson shot to fame in 1993 playing sceptical FBI agent Dana Scully in the cult science fiction show which recently hit the big screen for a second film adaptation, I Want To Believe.
