Girlband are voted off X Factor

Girl Band

Girlband have become the second act to be voted off The X Factor.

The four-piece lost a sing-off for the final spot on next week's edition of the ITV show against Ruth Lorenzo.

The four judges failed to agree which contestant should go, so Girlband - mentored by Louis Walsh - lost because they received the fewest public votes.

Three of the band's four members are from Bristol, and they sang Don't Want To Miss A Thing by Aerosmith in their final bid to remain in the contest.

Walsh, who is mentoring the groups in the competition, now has only one act left in the contest, after Bad Lashes were booted off last week.

The remaining 10 finalists will sing again on next Saturday's live show.
