Three members of pop group All Saints turned on the glitz and glamour at the première of their first film, Honest, in London on Tuesday night.

The British movie Honest stars sisters Natalie and Nicole Appleton and Melanie Blatt, and is directed by Eurythmics star Dave Stewart.

It revolves around three sisters in London's East End who turn to armed robbery in the late 1960s.

The stars turned up to the event at the Odeon in Leicester Square in eye-catching long gowns.

The film has received mixed reviews but Natalie Appleton said she did not care.

"They don't like it in England when you are successful, so what," she said.

"You're only on this planet once and I'm enjoying myself, I'm enjoying the ride."

Nicole Appleton said that despite her foray into movies the band was still her priority.

"It was just an opportunity that was open to me and I enjoyed it but I'll never let anything compete with All Saints," she explained.

"I'd like to do another film definitely but I've got too much to do with the band. If the time's right and if it's the right script then yeah."

Stewart was accompanied to the première by his partner Anouska.

Guests included music legend Lou Reed, Bob Geldof, funk star Bootsy Collins and Lightning Seeds singer Ian Broudie.

Fellow All Saint Shaznay Lewis was not in the film and did not turn up to the event.

The film is released nationwide on Friday.
