Lisa gets boot from Big Brother

Lisa Appleton

Beauty and tanning sales rep Lisa Appleton has become the 11th person to be evicted from the Big Brother house.

The 40-year-old lost out in the public vote to fellow contestant, Australian Sara Folino.

The pair faced eviction after housemates nominated in front of each other, instead of in the diary room.

Both contestants shared £50,000 after taking part in a dilemma task earlier this week, which saw them independently choose to share or take all the cash.

First couple

Appleton entered the house as part of the first-ever couple to be on the show, along with her boyfriend, Mario Marconi, who was evicted during week five.

Last weekend she was briefly reunited with him when he proposed to her live on sister show Big Brother's Little Brother.

There are seven contestants left in the house and competing for the £100,000 prize. The winner of this year's show will be announced on 5 September.
